Dr. Steven Bander
Dr. Bander heads the staff at Bander Family Medical Center. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University and his Master of Science from North Texas University. He received his D. O. degree in 1982 from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. [What is a D.O.?] Dr. Bander is a Texas Board Certified Family Practice Physician.

Carol Kick, RN, FNP
Carol Kick received her Diploma in Nursing at Burge School Of Nursing Springfield MO in 1980. She then received her BSN at UT Arlington 1991 and her MS at Texas Woman’s University 1998. She is certified for Family Practice through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. [What is a Nurse Practitioner?] She has been with the Bander Family Medical Center for many years.

Ryan Maguire, D.C.
Dr. Maguire received his Bachelor of Science degree of Biomedical Science from Texas A & M University and received his doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1999. Dr. Maguire is also a Workers Compensation Approved Doctor, Level II and is Impairment Rating Certified.

David Alcorn, ACSM
David Alcorn received his Bachelor of Science from Southern Nazarene University and his Master of Science from Texas Woman’s University in 1996 in Exercise Science. He is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, ACSM.

Christine Toner, RMT
Christine has been a Registered Massage Therapist since the year 2000, and is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

Karen Bander, RN, BSN
Patient Educator
Karen Bander received her nursing degree from Mobile Infirmary School of Nursing in 1973 and received her bachelor degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2005. She has been in the field of Family Medicine for many years.

Amy Bander, RMT
Office Manager/Registered Massage Therapist
Amy has worked with Dr. Bander since 1996 and was promoted to office manager in 2005 where she assists patients in obtaining their lab and x-ray results or medical records. She also answers billing and payment questions and assists with patient scheduling and refilling of prescriptions. She administers Bone Density tests at Dr. Bander's office.

Tonya Hooker,
Chiropractic Assistant
Tonya is a 1992 graduate of Kerens High School. She became an EMT in 1996 and has worked in the medical field for over 11 years. She is married and has 2 boys.

Billing
Michelle is a 1989 graduate from Wylie High School. She lives here in Wylie with her husband, Kevin and has a son and a daughter.
